In the third act of the film, Snoop the family dog is intentionally poisoned when Daniel feeds him aspirin. While Snoop survives, and is shown to make a full recovery, the poisoning scene is harrowing and prolonged. Poor Snoop is shown in distress: panting, struggling to breathe with his tongue hanging out, and lying listless on the floor until he is forced to vomit.
Fun Fact: Messi, the French Border Collie that plays Snoop, acted the entire sequence. He even won the Palm Dog at the Cannes Film Festival, and attended the Oscars!
